According to James Pearce of The Athletic, Ronald Araujo has quickly impressed Liverpool since joining on loan from Barcelona. If he can maintain his current form, he is expected to become one of the few truly successful loan signings Liverpool have made in the past 20 years.

In recent years, Liverpool has had limited success with loan signings. The loans of Arthur Melo, Ozan Kabak, Steven Caulker, Javier Manquillo, Victor Moses, Aly Cissokho, Nuri Sahin, and Emiliano Insúa left little positive impression. The last loan signing that truly delivered significant value was Javier Mascherano, who joined on loan from West Ham in 2007 and was purchased permanently a year later.

This summer, Liverpool initially decided not to buy a right-back. Recently, he relocated with his wife Abigail and two daughters to a home near Liverpool's training ground. To adapt to life in England as quickly as possible, he hired an English tutor and studies at home in addition to the English lessons arranged by the club.

In the dressing room, Araujo is close with Mac Allister and Víctor Muñoz, with whom he can communicate in Spanish. He also has a good relationship with Alisson, and they speak Portuguese.

When Araujo learned of Liverpool's interest, he was eager to complete the transfer, even voluntarily accepting a wage reduction to help the club facilitate the loan agreement.
