Bayern Munich will host Norwegian side Bodø/Glimt in the first match of the UEFA Champions League group stage.

According to statistics, Bayern has won 23 consecutive opening matches in European competitions, including 22 in the Champions League and 1 in the Europa League. The last time the Bundesliga giants failed to win an opening European match was in September 2002, when they lost 2-3 at home to Deportivo La Coruña.

Bodø/Glimt has drawn both of their previous away matches against German teams, most recently a 2-2 draw with Borussia Dortmund in the round of 16 of last season's Champions League. This Norwegian side has never defeated a German team in European competition.
