According to renowned British journalist Sami Mokbel, Arsenal defender Jurriën Timber is expected to miss Arsenal's League Cup match against Ipswich on Tuesday as a precautionary measure.

Mokbel noted that the Dutch international was previously sidelined by a long-term groin injury but made his first appearance of the season last Saturday in Arsenal's Premier League victory over Sunderland, coming on as a substitute in place of Ben White, who sustained a muscle injury in the first half.

Despite Timber now being fit, Arsenal will not include him in the squad for the League Cup match against Ipswich. The decision is unrelated to any recurrence of his previous groin issue.

With Timber having only just returned from a long-term injury, the club is taking a cautious approach to allow him to gradually build up his match fitness. Manager Mikel Arteta is also planning to rest several other key players for the Ipswich fixture.

Meanwhile, Ben White has undergone scans to assess the extent of his muscle injury. While Arsenal has not yet confirmed the severity, White is expected to miss the League Cup match against Ipswich.
