L’Équipe report that Ligue 1 side Rennes are poised to be open to selling French youth international left-back Adrien Truffert this summer.

The 21-year-old has appeared in the majority of SRFC’s matches so far this season and was the starting left-back for Bruno Génésio over the course of the campaign until suffering from an ankle injury recently which has most likely brought a premature end to his 2022/23 season.
Under contract with Rennes until June 2025, the Brittany side are open to the French youth international’s departure for a deal of around €15m, potentially excluding bonuses. Premier League side Aston Villa offered that sum to sign Truffert during the January window, a bid that was rejected by Rennes Sporting Director Florian Maurice. If Unai Emery’s club were to repeat that proposal this summer, Maurice’s answer is expected to be different.
Inter Milan have also demonstrated a strong interest in the French U21 full-back, but L’Équipe reckon that Truffert’s most likely next destination is the Premier League.
