For the 2026 FIFA World Cup in the US, Canada, and Mexico, after the three host nations secured their spots in the main tournament, three additional qualification spots were available for the CONCACAF region. These three spots ultimately went to Panama, Haiti, and Curaçao.

Curaçao qualified for the FIFA World Cup for the first time in their history, Panama qualified for the second time, and Haiti qualified for the first time in 52 years. However, all three teams have now finished bottom of their groups and been eliminated.

Haiti was the first team eliminated from the group stage, finishing bottom after three consecutive losses despite scoring 2 goals. Panama played two consecutive 0-1 defeats in Group L and was eliminated early. Curaçao scored their first goal in a 1-7 loss to Germany, earned their first point in a 0-0 draw with Ecuador, but after losing 0-2 to Ivory Coast, they were also eliminated with 1 goal and 1 point.
In contrast, the three host nations—the US, Canada, and Mexico—all successfully advanced. Mexico won all their matches without conceding a goal, Canada qualified for the first time, and the US advanced ahead of schedule.
