Vinicius Junior is poised to hold contract talks with Real Madrid this week amid ongoing interest from Arsenal.

The Brazilian star has only one year remaining on his deal at the Bernabeu and the Premier League champions are weighing a stunning move before the start of the new campaign.
All avenues are currently open ahead of the discussions between Vinicius’ advisors and Madrid president Florentino Perez. Daily Mail Sport understands that while the salary on offer is acceptable to Vinicius, the parties have yet to reach an agreement on a potential signing-on fee.
If Vinicius were to switch to the Premier League, the competition would have another global superstar.
Though the Premier League is comfortably the richest of Europe’s top five leagues, the world’s best attackers like Lamine Yamal, Harry Kane, Kylian Mbappe and Ousmane Dembele play elsewhere.
‘We expect to have movements in the next few weeks, obviously,’ said Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta after his side’s pre-season match against Girona.

‘We want to get better like anybody else, and you can see the transfer market and our opponents... We won't sit still and we are very ambitious with what we are doing.
‘The margins are very small. Because we want to get better and the level is going to increase. We need to increase the competition internally. We need to make sure we identify the things that we don't have in the team.’
Arsenal are working on a deal to sign midfielder Bruno Guimaraes from Newcastle and have already paid £34million for Club Brugge winger Christos Tzolis.
