According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, French winger Diaby has agreed to join Internazionale and hopes that the Nerazzurri will quickly reach an agreement with his current club, Al-Ittihad.

La Gazzetta dello Sport revealed that Diaby directly contacted Internazionale's management in the past few hours, clearly stating his desire to return to European football via San Siro, provided that Internazionale first agrees on a transfer fee with Al-Ittihad.

The Italian media reported that Diaby is no longer considering staying in the Saudi league and hopes to leave this summer. The 26-year-old believes that Internazionale's sporting project and Champions League qualification are most suitable for the next step in his career.

Currently, official negotiations have begun between Internazionale and Al-Ittihad, but both sides' demands for the transfer fee remain confidential. Internazionale hopes to leverage the player's desire to leave to lower the Saudi club's asking price. Al-Ittihad recently signed Diaby for a high price.

Diaby is considered one of Internazionale's main targets to strengthen the winger position, and the coach hopes to further enhance attacking options before the start of the new season.

Sources say the player's personal approval accounts for 50% of the deal's completion; the final outcome still depends on whether Internazionale can convince Al-Ittihad to release him.

As of now, Al-Ittihad has not issued any official response, but Diaby's clear stance has put considerable pressure on the Saudi club. Al-Ittihad must choose between keeping the player and selling him for cash, and not much time remains before the transfer window closes.
