According to TuttoMercatoWeb, the renovation project for Napoli Diego Armando Maradona Stadium is ready to enter the implementation phase. Napoli Mayor Manuel Manfredi stated when submitting the bid for Euro 2032: "Once approved, we will launch the tender for the works." Edoardo Cosenza, Commissioner for Infrastructure Affairs, then presented the project details.

"No seats will be reduced; the stadium capacity will reach 63,000."
Cosenza stated that the work will start from the third tier stands: "We will first eliminate vibrations, and not a single seat will be reduced during construction. After completion, there will be 63,000 seats, all with excellent views, instead of the current 54,000. The stands will also be closer to the pitch after the removal of the running track." He added that the stadium roof will also be completely renovated: "The roof will be illuminated with lights, and we can create any lighting effects. The facade will be restored to the 'Sun Stadium' design, showcasing great figures in Napoli's history, with six images specifically dedicated to Maradona and his most classic goals."
He also emphasized the advantages in UEFA's bid proposal: "UEFA places great importance on high-speed rail and local public transportation. It only takes 15 minutes from the airport to the Maradona Stadium. The new first-tier stands will be built at the height of the dugout, and a Maradona experience area will be created, with a photovoltaic system installed, bringing the stands closer to the playing field." Finally, Cosenza spoke about parking spaces: "There are 1,500 parking spaces and 158 bus parking spaces in the plan, but the primary goal is still to encourage the use of public transportation, which is also a UEFA requirement."
