Monaco came back from 0-2 down to win 3-2 against Liverpool in a friendly match. Head coach Filipe Luis said this experience would provide valuable lessons for the season.

"It was a tough contest against a world-class team with outstanding players who rarely lose possession and easily break our press. But this was a good test, and experiences like this will help us perform well this season. We must learn to endure pressure together when facing strong teams, and I believe the team can improve on this. When asked why Liverpool frequently threatened in the first half, Filipe Luis said: "As I said, they have many high-level players who repeatedly found space in the channels. Regarding Abrin's performance in the first two matches, Filipe Luis commented: "I am delighted he joined Monaco, and I also want to thank the club for working hard to complete this transfer. Honestly, this type of player is very scarce in the market. He is extremely fast, always looking to sprint into space, and will create many opportunities for us, making it difficult for opponents to defend against him. Today, his partnership with Bireth worked well, but of course, there are still areas he needs to improve. But we need to be patient; he only joined the team a week ago and hasn't had much time to train with his new teammates. He will be an important player for us, and we will help him develop into a top player."

Speaking about returning to England, the Brazilian coach said: "I played a season here—Chelsea, as you noted—and have had many Champions League encounters against English teams. England is now an elite place for football, and I'm glad to have this opportunity."

For Lamin Camara, Filipe Luis did not spare praise: "He is probably one of the best midfielders in the world. I don't want to say too much because I know many clubs want him (laughs), and he is very important to me. He is excellent on the ball, covers a lot of ground, and is truly fantastic. I am very happy to have him, and he will play a key role in the team. Keep him? I am very confident he will stay. I think he is happy at Monaco. Regarding the significance of playing at Anfield for young players' development, he replied: "Of course, it's a great opportunity. Speaking about Brunner scoring again, Filipe Luis said: "This is exactly what I like to see; he gives me a headache when deciding the starting lineup because he scores whenever he plays in warm-up matches. He is very hungry, playing with strong desire and energy every time he comes on, always wanting to score. This is why he wants to be in the team, and it's the fighting spirit I want. I'm happy to have such a 'problem' deciding the starters; having excellent players pushing to play is the best thing."

Regarding Bireth's performance today, he said: "Everyone will look at strikers' statistics, and they need goals to build confidence. But for me, it's more than that. Bireth gives his all for the team; he runs, presses, always provides support when teammates need it, he can hold the ball, and he can attack space. So even if he sometimes doesn't score, I am very satisfied with his work. I like the way he plays; sometimes he breaks through defenses, giving Brunner and Omar Konaté opportunities to score and find more space. It's precisely because Bireth and Abrin did a lot of 'dirty work' in the early stages of the first half that we were later able to come back. Omar? He is also a very eager and ambitious player, and I like working with players of this style."
