This is Bruno Fernandes's third hat-trick for Manchester United. The previous two were in the opening round of the 2021/22 Premier League season, a 5-1 home victory over Leeds United, and in the 2024/25 Europa League Round of 16 knockout tie, a 4-1 home victory over Real Sociedad.

This means Bruno Fernandes has now scored a hat-trick in the Premier League twice, both achieved in Manchester United's opening home match of the season.
