PSG wish to extend Luis Enrique contract, but…

Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly looking to extend the contract of their manager, Luis Enrique, according to information from L’Équipe.

Currently tied to the Parisian club until June 2027, the Spanish manager has recently been offered a three-year extension, taking his contract through to 2030. And whilst everything seemed to be finalised at the end of last week, no progress has been made in the last few hours.

The club remains confident that the deal will be finalised, and says this situation is not linked to any slowdown in negotiations. Barring a sudden change of circumstances, the former La Roja head coach is therefore expected to continue his Parisian adventure beyond the current season.

Appointed as PSG manager in the summer of 2023, Enrique has made his mark at the club, notably leading Les Rouge et Bleu to the first two Champions League titles in the club’s history. Having now made 178 appearances in charge of PSG, the Gijón-born manager has recorded 123 wins, 29 draws and 26 defeats.
