According to The Sun, AFC Bournemouth manager Marco Rose allegedly used a profanity during a post-match TV interview, sparking heated discussion among fans.

Rose's interview became somewhat heated after AFC Bournemouth drew 2-2 with Newcastle United yesterday.

Fans are convinced that the AFC Bournemouth manager misspoke on TNT Sports' live broadcast, as he appeared to reference a slang term for "buttocks."

Fans believe Rose said: "We have to show it, we have to talk about it. And we have to, in Germany we would say, we need to put our finger in the bunda."

Rose then smiled knowingly and acknowledged he might have confused the expression. The interview sparked heated discussion on social media. One fan wrote: "He knew exactly what he was saying." Another fan commented: "Yes, we are completely messed up."

In fact, Rose appeared to have said "Wunde," a German word meaning "wound," which is used to point out a sensitive but important issue when criticizing something.

Rose's team squandered a lead at St. James' Park, with Dominic Solanke scoring for Bournemouth and Malick Thiaw scoring an own goal. Harvey Barnes pulled one back for Newcastle before halftime, and Jacob Ramsey equalized in the 88th minute.

AFC Bournemouth remain winless at the start of the 2024-25 Premier League season, having lost their opening match to Manchester City and then drawing with Everton. Rose, who previously managed RB Leipzig, was appointed manager of AFC Bournemouth before the start of the 2024-25 Premier League season, succeeding Andoni Iraola, who left to join West Ham United.
