On September 8th, Napoli officially announced that midfielder McTominay had successfully undergone cardiac ablation surgery and would be sidelined for approximately two weeks.

This morning, as expected, McTominay underwent cardiac ablation surgery at Spire Manchester Hospital. The operation was very successful. McTominay will rest for approximately two weeks before resuming training. (End of announcement)
