The 30-man shortlist for the 2026 Ballon d'Or has been announced, with 19-year-old Barcelona winger Lamine Yamal making the cut.

The evaluation period for the 2026 Ballon d'Or runs from August 3, 2025, to July 19, 2026, with the deadline coinciding with the final of the 2026 FIFA World Cup in Canada, Mexico, and the USA.

Last season, Yamal made 45 appearances for Barcelona, contributing 25 goals and 21 assists, winning the La Liga title and the Spanish Super Cup. He was named La Liga MVP and selected for the La Liga Team of the Season.

For the Spanish national team, Yamal has made 12 appearances, recording 1 goal and 3 assists. In the World Cup, Yamal scored 1 goal and, starting as right winger, helped Spain secure their second FIFA World Cup trophy in history.
