La Liga president Javier Tebas said it would be an honor if Messi acquired Eldense and he and Ronaldo invested in Spanish football.

Messi has reached a preliminary agreement with Colombian investment group TH to acquire all shares of Eldense, a club currently competing in Spain's Second Division. Elda mayor Rubén Alfaro has confirmed the news, though the deal still requires approval from the Spanish Higher Sports Council (CSD).

Tebas spoke about youth football culture at the Panini sticker album launch, saying: "Youth football culture in Spain begins with sticker albums. Personally, I was a collector first, then my children, and now my grandchildren."

Tebas added: "I don't know if Messi will acquire Eldense. I only know that if it happens, like in Almería's case, it would be an honor for us. Two of the biggest stars in world football in recent years are considering investing their money in Spanish football to make it even bigger."

Tebas also used statistics to highlight the quality of Spanish football. He pointed out: "We often underestimate what we have in this country. Of the 52 players in the World Cup final, 25 play in Spain. We have the best players in the world, and although we are not the richest league, we have the highest level of play."

Regarding the Premier League, Tebas said: "This is not just my opinion—Britain itself has acknowledged it. They have established a regulatory body to prevent excessive spending in the Premier League. Some major clubs are under investigation for financial breaches spanning 15 years."

Tebas expressed satisfaction that Rodri returned to Spain, stating: "I am happy that Rodri plays in Spain, whether for Real Madrid or Barcelona—it doesn't matter to me."

Tebas also announced plans to file a complaint about anti-Semitic chants reported around the Bernabéu stadium before the Champions League match against Inter Milan, saying: "While this is not our league, we will lodge complaints about such incidents to the relevant authorities in any competition."
