According to Goal, Inzaghi's Palermo has won all 5 of their matches this season, with the team's goal being a return to Serie A.

Palermo ended last season in disappointment following a playoff loss to Catanzaro. In the new season, the team has successively defeated Juve Stabia, Arezzo, and Sampdoria in the first three rounds of Serie B, scoring 7 goals and conceding 3, and advanced to the Coppa Italia.

To widen the gap with their competitors, Palermo, owned by City Football Group, has invested heavily in the transfer market. Midfielder Luca Mazzitelli is the latest arrival, following goalkeeper Mattia Perin, Brazilian midfielder Hernani, winger Strefezza, and forwards Gabrielloni and Vavasori.

Currently, Palermo has won all 5 of their matches, including a 2-0 victory over Lecce in the Coppa Italia at Stadio Renzo Barbera. Inzaghi said: "I don't do things by halves.
