Federico Guidi, former youth coach for Roma, stated in an interview with TuttoMercatoWeb that Gasperini has been following Lulli for a year and believes Lulli's characteristics are similar to Bellanova's. In addition, Guidi also discussed Alessandro Romano, Liberali, Rontani, and the development of young players in Serie A.

Speaking about Lulli's breakthrough this season, Guidi said: "His performance in Serie A was difficult to predict, although his improvement last season was already very obvious. Until the U17 stage, Emanuele was not a regular starter in Roma's 2006/07 squad. He became an important player last year and has grown significantly.
"Gasperini saw his characteristics last year, especially his excellent physical condition, with high levels of speed and stamina, which compensate for areas where his defense still needs improvement. Gasperini followed him for a year because he doesn't look at age, only at a player's performance on the field. Lulli has also done very well this season, successfully preparing himself."
Regarding whether Lulli has entered the radar for the senior Italian national team, Guidi said: "Until last season, he had never been called up to the Italian youth national team. Last year he was first called up by Bollini to the U19 national team, but he couldn't participate in the European Championship. He is growing with high quality, and now national teams at all levels can no longer ignore his progress, whether it's the senior national team coached by Mancini or the U21 national team coached by Baldini."
Speaking about the comparison between Lulli and Bellanova, Guidi said: "This analogy is very apt because both have strengths in stamina, speed, and power. Bellanova's technique might be better because he can use both feet. Emanuele still needs to improve his left foot ability, but I believe he can do it. Lulli also reminds me of Bellanova."
Speaking about Alessandro Romano, Guidi said: "He played above his age group with me for two years, forming a midfield with Piccilli and Pagano, both of whom are also doing well now. Romano was the playmaker of that midfield because he had a different understanding of the game than others, and his professional attitude is very rare among young people today. He decided to become a professional player very early and has always focused on that goal.
"His performance in the youth team was already very good, that level was no longer enough for him, so we sent him to Spezia, where he showed excellent abilities. The decision to focus on developing him and prevent him from playing for Switzerland was the right one. Romano was born in Switzerland, and the Italian Football Federation was already paying attention to his performance in the U19. At that time, he chose to continue playing for Switzerland, but if Italy calls him up now, it will be hard to refuse. I believe he will also perform well in the Italian national team jersey."
Speaking about whether Milan will regret losing Liberali, Guidi said: "Milan has always done a good job of developing young players. Camarda, Comotto, Longoni who has already joined Paris Saint-Germain, and Liberali are all examples. Market operations sometimes lead players elsewhere. Milan tried to re-sign Liberali this summer, so this might become a regret for Milan.
"However, joining Catanzaro is still the right choice, giving him the opportunity he deserves. He is a pure talent, with excellent technique and a strong understanding of football. Now he is in an environment that suits him. Mattia is Italian, but plays very much like a Spanish player, so I believe Fabregas's philosophy can help him improve further."
Speaking about Parma striker Rontani, Guidi said: "He also comes from the Milan youth academy, which shows that the Milan youth academy is doing a good job. Simone quickly established himself, and he already showed these abilities when I coached the youth team. At that time, he was still very young; among a group of players born in 2005, he was born in 2008.
"His abilities are excellent, combining technique, physical condition, and football intelligence. His current performance is outstanding, and he has proven that he can become an important player at Parma."
Speaking about Fiorentina's start to the season, Guidi said: "After Vanoli took over, the team showed a significant change compared to the previous three matches, both in terms of attitude and desire to win. Perhaps there wasn't the right chemistry between Grosso and the team before, so a change of coach became inevitable. Vanoli is familiar with the environment here, quickly found a way to communicate with the team, and the team's resilience shown in Venice quickly emerged.
"The team is playing well, although there is still a lot of work to do. There is no shortage of talent and strength in the squad, and some players can grow into top European players. Mastantuono is a pure talent, destined to return to the top stage where he once was. N'Goué impressed me in his youth team days; he combines physicality, speed, unpredictable dribbling, and technique, all important abilities in modern football. Atta has the strength to join a top team, and Fagioli's game reading ability is also very special. If Fiorentina can maintain stability, fans will enjoy watching them."
Speaking about young players and young coaches getting more opportunities in Serie A, Guidi said: "I am happy to see young coaches performing well, like my friend Aquilani. This shows that there are ideas, and it also takes courage to trust these ideas. Other countries have proven that as long as young players are capable and trusted, they can bring vitality and novelty to football."
Speaking about his coaching plans, Guidi said: "I am constantly learning and observing the training of many foreign colleagues. Leaving Roma was unexpected for me, and now I am waiting for a truly suitable project. I have received offers from Serie C and abroad, but none of them satisfied me. I am open to considering coaching a professional team or continuing to work with young players. The desire to return to senior football has always been there, but ultimately it depends on the opportunity, and I will not rule out any possibilities."
