Bournemouth are considering a loan move for Everton's James McCarthy.

The proposed transfer is in the very early stages but boss Eddie Howe likes the player and wants cover for the injured Lewis Cook.
Having already signed Nathaniel Clyne on loan from Liverpool, the Cherries can bring one more Premier League loan in.
With Bournemouth already missing several players through injury, Howe wants a player who can put his foot in and help lift the team.
McCarthy has 18 months on contract and despite being fit again following his double leg fracture has not been played by Marco Silva.

He was on the bench against Lincoln City but did not feature and Everton will consider loan approaches with Fulham, Aston Villa and West Brom also interested.
West Ham like him but their interest has cooled as they have several injury concerns in their squad and do not want to take many more chances.
