Brighton are in discussions with Argentinos Juniors for midfielder Alexis Mac Allister.

The £7million deal will see the 20-year-old stay in Argentina on loan until June.

Alisster has made nine appearances for the Juniors in the Primera Division this campaign scoring three goals.

The Seagulls spent £63m in the summer and splashed £57m in their first season in the top flight since 1983.

Chris Hughton's side are seven points off relegation but have not won in their last three league matches.
