Hearts of Oak head coach Didi Dramani has expressed his disappointment following his side’s goalless draw with Bechem United, admitting that the Phobians fell short of expectations in a tightly contested Ghana Premier League encounter.
Speaking after the match, Dramani acknowledged Bechem United’s tactical approach, noting that the visitors were content to sit deep and play on the counter-attack. “For them, they will say it’s a fair result because right from the onset we could see that is what they wanted to do. To sit and go on the breaks,” he said. While Hearts dominated possession for long spells, they struggled to convert their control into clear-cut chances.
The experienced coach also conceded that the match could easily have swung against his team, highlighting the risks involved when facing a compact and disciplined opponent. “We could have also lost the game because in such situations it’s really tough. I think we were disappointing,” Dramani admitted, calling for a response from his players as Hearts look ahead to their next fixture in a bid to return to winning ways.
