Beijing time (CEST) on June 10, official news, 23-year-old Japanese midfielder Satoru Tanaka joined Schalke, with both parties signing a contract until 2030.

It is reported that Satoru Tanaka signed a long-term contract with Schalke 04, valid until June 30, 2030.

Satoru Tanaka played for Fortuna Düsseldorf in the second half of the 2025-2026 season, making 13 appearances and providing 2 assists.

Schalke's sporting director Mulder said: "Satoru Tanakapossesses the important qualities we need for a defensive midfielder – he is active off the ball, energetic and agile.
