According to a statement sent by the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) to multiple Brazilian media outlets, Neymar will not travel to Philadelphia with the squad to focus on rehabilitation, ruling him out of Brazil’s second Group Stage fixture against Haiti at the World Cup.

Neymar will not travel with the delegation to Philadelphia. He will remain in New Jersey to optimize the final stages of his recovery process, continuing targeted rehabilitation training using top-tier facilities at the hotel and training center.

 

In the opening World Cup Group Stage match, Brazil drew 1-1 with Morocco; Neymar was sidelined through injury and excluded from the matchday squad.

Brazilian media report that Neymar took part in group training alongside his teammates during yesterday’s 15-minute open training session. He completed roughly ten minutes of physical drills with the rest of the squad before being separated to carry out specialized recovery work alongside fitness coaches.
