Susanna Hurman, a member of Curaçao's medical staff, revealed in an interview that players could share a room with their partners during the training camp. She explained: "Players can stay in the same room with their partners, and if they have children, the family receives an extra room."

This decision was championed by Dutch head coach Dick Advocaat, aimed at creating a more comfortable environment for players during the weeks-long FIFA World Cup. Players did not have to be separated from their loved ones during the training camp but could live with their partners and children daily.

Hurman emphasized that this decision also reflects Curaçaoan culture. She explained that "family relationships are central" to Curaçaoan society, and closeness among parents, children, and partners is part of everyday life. She concluded: "It's more about emotional support than direct physical impact. Having family around during such a long tournament can help reduce homesickness and provide peace of mind."
