According to Mundo Deportivo, Javi Espart was one of the young players who shone during the pre-season training camp with the first team of Barcelona. In fact, he is already familiar with this kind of experience and has played official matches for the first team. His goal is to permanently secure a place in the first team, and he also gave an interview this summer.

Espart said: "I am really enjoying this experience." When talking about playing as a full-back – which is not his natural position – his attitude was very clear: "As long as I can stay at Barcelona, I am willing to play any position."

Espart started in the friendly match against Birmingham, and he said: "My competitive state was good after the UEFA European Under-19 Championship, and I was very happy to be able to start. I gave my all and thoroughly enjoyed the match." He stated without hesitation: "My goal is to stay in the first team, and I will do my best to seize all opportunities. I have been at the club for many years, and I will continue to give everything to earn opportunities."

When asked if there was a chance to officially stay in the first team, he said: "I want to believe that the opportunity exists. I will remain humble, train diligently, and prove that I deserve to stay on the team."

One major source of confidence comes from the club's emphasis on youth development: "Barcelona has always trusted young players, and even more so in recent years. Being able to play alongside teammates of the same age gives me great confidence; it's a challenge." For this reason, he once again frankly admitted: "I am very grateful to the head coach."

Regarding his position on the field, he is not averse to playing as a full-back: "I have always played as a defensive midfielder, but in these three years with the first team, I have been playing as a full-back. As long as I can stay at Barcelona, I am willing to play any position."

He believes: "Thanks to my experience playing as a defensive midfielder, I can be a full-back with a different style. I can connect and organize play centrally, not just simply rush down the wing. I have adapted very well, my physical condition is good after the UEFA European Under-19 Championship, and I will give it my all."
