Bayern Munich President Hainer gave an interview to the media, discussing the commercialization of the FIFA World Cup and Infantino.

Do you think Infantino might ultimately be affected by this whole situation?
I cannot answer that question right now; the decision rests with the individual member nations. But the fact is, there is currently immense pressure for a full investigation and explanation of why such a proposal advanced to this stage without the involvement of all continental confederations.
If I understand correctly, even one of his closest advisors was not involved.
As I just said, with so much pressure now, this matter will certainly be thoroughly reviewed and investigated. Afterward, necessary decisions will surely be made, whatever they may ultimately be, but it is certain there will be consequences.
What is your personal view of Infantino as a person and his work? And what do you think about the proposals and demands for a possible replacement?
It is not appropriate for me to evaluate a specific individual, and I do not wish to do so now. Because in such situations, people's judgment is often influenced by current events.
But in principle, I can only reiterate that my fundamental understanding of FIFA is: as the world's largest football governing body, FIFA's responsibility is to organize football and enable people worldwide to play under reasonable rules. They must fulfill this responsibility well. Football cannot become increasingly commercialized; it cannot simply be used to generate more revenue.
