On August 5, Sanfrecce Hiroshima's 강화부 (Strengthening Department) director Keisuke Kurihara was interviewed by the media regarding the return of Japanese national goalkeeper Keisuke Osako to the team after his overseas transfer process fell through, explaining the full story.

Sanfrecce Hiroshima announced on July 30 that Keisuke Osako had left the team, which was training in Miyazaki, to handle and prepare for procedures related to his transfer to an overseas club. Previously, there were reports that he would transfer to Belgium, but the transfer negotiations ultimately broke down, and Keisuke Osako rejoined the team's training starting August 5.

Keisuke Kurihara stated: "We first received an offer from an overseas club, and we also hoped to help him realize his dream of playing abroad, but the negotiations ultimately failed to reach an agreement, and the signing was not completed."

It is understood that the transfer was declared void on the very night Keisuke Osako left the team.
