Borussia Dortmund responded quickly after Jamal Musiala publicly revealed he was suffering from a neurological condition, according to Bild. Both CEO Lars Ricken and head coach Niko Kovač sent well wishes to the Bayern Munich star, stating they were "very shocked" to learn of the situation.

Musiala's health has drawn the attention of the entire German football community. After twice collapsing in previous matches, the Bayern Munich and Germany national team core player publicly stated he has a neurological condition, which he described as "brief, but treatable absence seizures caused by neurological dysfunction." Currently, it has not been officially confirmed whether Musiala will be able to play in the German Supercup against Borussia Dortmund. With this highly anticipated match approaching, Borussia Dortmund has also expressed concern and well wishes for their opponent's player.
Dortmund's leadership discusses Musiala
In an interview with Bild, Borussia Dortmund CEO Lars Ricken said: "Regarding Musiala, although there is certainly a rivalry between Dortmund and Bayern, we must say that this goes beyond just a player; it truly concerns a person. I also believe that many Dortmund fans have a great affection for him.
The images we saw were indeed frightening. However, I believe he is now receiving excellent medical care. He has also been very open about it. On behalf of Borussia Dortmund, we sincerely wish him all the best and a speedy recovery. When we play against Bayern, we want to compete against the best players, so of course, we hope he will be back on the field by then."
Borussia Dortmund head coach Niko Kovač expressed the same sentiment, adding: "I agree with every word Lars said. Because we are first and foremost human beings, and also athletes, this news was also a huge shock to us. Lars is right, I know Bayern indeed has an excellent medical department, and we wish this young man all the best. He is still very young, and we hope he will play many, many more matches in the future, not only for Bayern but also continue to play for the German national team."
Dortmund's new signings on the squad list
Borussia Dortmund will approach the upcoming match with high ambitions. Kovač stated: "For an athlete, every trophy is important. Therefore, everyone wants to participate in such a match. And when you participate in this match, you certainly want to win it."
Currently, Borussia Dortmund still has two long-term injured players out: Schlotterbeck is unavailable due to a ligament tear, and captain Emre Can has suffered a cruciate ligament tear. Anton and Beyer, who had previously been unwell, will return to the squad. The team's two newly signed players, Konstantelias and Ferrmann, are also expected to be included in the match squad. Kovač concluded: "Giannis and Joey are both in good physical condition. I see no reason not to include them in the match squad."
