Ppippi, Korean Influencer: Grateful to Manchester City

Following a trip to Korea, Manchester City's official website interviewed Ppippi, a Korean female influencer and Manchester City fan.

I'm incredibly grateful to Manchester City because they helped me through a difficult period.

I've been a streamer for about ten years. During the most challenging phase of my career, I took a year off. I stayed home and watched a lot of TV during that time, and that's when Manchester City caught my attention.

I found the way Erling Haaland, Phil Foden, and Kevin De Bruyne play together incredibly captivating. I was particularly impressed by how Haaland breaks through defenders and pushes forward.

Over the next year, I watched every one of their matches, and naturally, I became a fan.

My first memory is when Manchester City visited Korea in 2023. However, my first time actually going to the Etihad Stadium was in November 2025.

On match days, I wake up early for breakfast because most shops are closed by the time I leave the stadium after the match.

Before matches, I usually visit the club's famous merchandise shop or do a stadium tour to soak in the atmosphere and excitement.

After matches, I typically head to a pub, enjoy a famous Manchester beer or another drink, and then watch other football matches.

I watch and support every Manchester City match in person alongside my fans. Because I do this as a fan and not as work, I'm thrilled to turn something I love into part of my job.

Watching so many football matches inspired me to play myself, so I created and manage a five-a-side women influencer football team called KIX.

Since I can't frequently visit the Etihad, I also often attend K League matches to support local teams. You could say I've fully become a football streamer.

Most of my live stream viewers are football fans, so whenever I go live, we discuss football almost the entire time.

During the season, match times are often very early in the morning in Korea, but I still enjoy watching the matches and interacting with fans in real-time, even those who have to work the next day.

Sometimes we watch matches together because we support the same team. Some fans are long-time Manchester City supporters who share a lot of knowledge and information with me.

I've hosted special personal events for Manchester City fans where everyone gathers to watch matches and chat about the club.

Seeing everyone come together purely out of love and support for the same team makes me feel incredibly proud. As a City fan and "Citizen," it means so much to me.
