CA River Plate officially announced that by mutual agreement, the club and Argentina international Germán Pezzella have decided to terminate their contractual relationship.

The 35-year-old came through the club's youth academy, winning five championship titles with River Plate across two spells and becoming a World Cup winner. His career reflects CA River Plate's significant contribution to the Argentine national team. The club thanks Pezzella for his contributions and wishes him all the best in his next chapter.

Pezzella began his career at CA River Plate before spells at Real Betis and Fiorentina. He returned to the club in 2024 and has remained there until now.
