According to the latest report from The Athletic, Güler is close to renewing his contract with Real Madrid, and the club views him and Bellingham as core players for the future.

Güler's current contract is set to expire in the summer of 2029. However, sources familiar with the situation confirm that both parties have reached an agreement in principle on a new deal that will extend through 2032.

Both Xabi Alonso and Arbeloa showed faith in him during their time as Real Madrid coaches, and Mourinho has continued this approach, starting Güler in 3 of Real Madrid's first 4 La Liga matches.
