On Friday local time, Al Nassr officially launched the new away kit for the season (the second kit). The club's official social media account then posted a photo of Ronaldo in the new jersey.

Due to imprecise wording, the original caption "The second. On the greatest 🐐" was intended to mean "The second kit, worn by the greatest of all time." However, the phrase "The second" was widely misinterpreted by social media users as "second place/inferior," leading the entire post to be read as "Among the greatest of all time, he ranks second"—which immediately sparked countless comments and shares.

To clarify the ambiguity and reiterate its official stance, Al Nassr issued another post. They shared a photo of Ronaldo's away kit hanging in the locker room with the caption: "English 101: 📚 Whether it's the first kit or the second, he is the greatest of all time."

Although Al Nassr quickly intervened to "set the record straight" and defend its star player, the comments section remained flooded with trolling and meme responses from rival fans.
