Wayne Rooney says no Manchester United player would make Manchester City or Arsenal's matchday squad these days.

On the Stick to United podcast, host Mark Goldbridge said: "Think about it, who at Manchester United would get into Manchester City or Arsenal's team right now?"

"I wouldn't even put Bruno in..."

Rooney was quick to agree, responding: "I don't think there's anyone. I'm not sure anyone would. In my opinion, the squad depth and the options on the bench aren't good enough."

However, the former striker also believes there have been some positive signs from the team in recent games.

He continued: "But I also have to say, I've seen positives in the last two games, I really have. Especially against Everton and Manchester City—the first half of both games was actually good."

"There are positives, but unfortunately, there are more negatives."
