According to news released earlier today by sports media outlet The Athletic, 18-year-old Real Madrid player Mastantono is expected to join Serie A club Fiorentina on loan.

The Athletic stated that Mastantono joined Real Madrid from River Plate a year ago for a transfer fee of 63.2 million euros, or approximately 54.1 million pounds.

The 18-year-old attracted interest from several European clubs, and both the player and River Plate hoped for a reunion. However, Real Madrid did not consider this proposal and also rejected an approach from a Saudi Arabian team, as they wished Mastantono to remain in Europe.

Currently, he is expected to join Fiorentina on a pure loan. The Athletic stated that Fiorentina is one of the clubs that has shown clear interest in the player, and the agreement does not include a buy-out option.
