On August 5th, Liverpool officially announced that a memorial ceremony for Kevin Keegan will be held before the home match against Monaco and before Premier League matches against Newcastle United and Nottingham Forest.

The club confirmed that a series of commemorative events will be held to honor Kevin Keegan, a club legend. The official matchday program for Sunday's preseason friendly against Monaco will feature a commemorative cover and a special tribute to Keegan's life and career at Liverpool.

Fans attending the Monaco match will see a special tribute displayed on Anfield's LED screens, a period of applause before kickoff, and players wearing black armbands.

This will be Liverpool's first home game since Keegan's passing, providing fans with an opportunity to remember one of the club's greatest players. Before Newcastle United's visit, Liverpool will coordinate with the club on a tribute to Keegan, who achieved great success representing both teams.

Additionally, a tribute will be held before Liverpool's first Premier League home match of the season on August 29th against Nottingham Forest. Fans will participate in a special mosaic and observe a moment of silence before the match, with players also wearing black armbands.
