Official news: Manchester City signed Olympique Marseille goalkeeper Rulli; the transfer fee is reportedly 2 million euros.

OFFICIAL STATEMENT:

Manchester City officially announced that the club has completed the signing of Rulli.

The experienced goalkeeper transferred from French Ligue 1 Olympique Marseille to Manchester City and signed a 2-year contract with the club, valid until the summer of 2028.

For the Argentine international, this move to Manchester City marks his second stint. Rulli previously played for Manchester City in the 2016/17 season but did not make any first-team appearances.

Now 34 years old, Rulli returns to Manchester with extensive experience in top leagues and international competitions.

At the national level, he has made 8 appearances for Argentina and won the 2022 World Cup and the 2024 Copa América with the team.

At the club level, Rulli boasts a rich and excellent resume. He started his career at Estudiantes de La Plata, then moved to Europe, playing for Real Sociedad and Villarreal in Spain, Dutch giants Ajax, Montpellier in France, and most recently Olympique Marseille.

During his time at Villarreal, Rulli helped the team defeat Manchester United in the 2020/21 Europa League final to win the championship.

After completing his move to Manchester City, Rulli expressed his excitement to join Maresca's team.
