The ball boy who was once kicked by Eden Hazard is now close to selling his business and is expected to receive a huge payout.

Charlie Morgan, 30, made headlines in 2013 when he was kicked during the second leg of the League Cup semi-final between Swansea City and Chelsea.

Since founding Au Vodka, Hazard's "opponent" has become a millionaire.

Morgan and co-founder Jackson Quinn are now also on the verge of a huge windfall.

The two have entered advanced negotiations to sell the spirits company, in a deal valued at up to £500 million.

US beverage giant Sazerac Company is close to acquiring the company from Swansea fans Morgan and Quinn.

It is expected that after the deal is completed, the two will each receive over £100 million.

However, it is currently unclear whether Morgan, whose involvement in the Hazard incident led to the Chelsea legend's red card, will remain with the company.

In 2023, Au Vodka sold a minority stake to private equity firm Metric Capital.

Last year, Morgan invested more funds into the company and moved its headquarters to an all-gold office building.

Au Vodka has been endorsed by Floyd Mayweather, Ronaldinho, and Jake Paul, with the latter even getting a tattoo of the company's bottle design.

Two years ago, Morgan and Hazard, 35, had a funny reunion and took a joking photo together.

The former Stamford Bridge favorite, who was furious and kicked the Welshman for time-wasting, later posted the photo on social media.

Hazard captioned it: "The good thing about retirement is catching up with old friends. You've come a long way in 11 years, my friend."
