According to Corriere dello Sport, Rafael Leao received a warm welcome from Galatasaray fans upon his arrival in Istanbul. He was delighted with the reception and waved a club scarf in return, while also posing for photos and signing autographs for supporters. He then departed accompanied by Vice President Kavukcu, expressing that he was very happy to begin a new chapter in his career.

"Together with Osimhen, we will do great things for Galatasaray."

One of the reasons Leao ultimately chose Galatasaray over Aston Villa was his close relationship with Victor Osimhen: "Osimhen is a good friend of mine, and we will do great things together. We want to continue competing in the Champions League and also win the league title. I'm really happy to be here. The club did everything to sign me, and I will do my part to achieve all of this season's goals."
