Beyond the English club, Olympique Marseille also made a similar offer, but the French side also left empty-handed from Nuremberg.

Nuremberg was able to make such a decision thanks to substantial revenue generated through player sales over the past three years. Since the 2023/2024 season, Nuremberg's transfer income has exceeded €80 million.

With these financial resources, the club no longer feels compelled to sell players and can afford to reject such offers. This also reflects the team's raised competitive ambitions this season. Although promotion remains unspoken, with Zouma's future secured, Nuremberg's intentions are clear: following their perfect start with three consecutive wins, the club is determined to push forward.
