According to transfer journalist Romano, Atalanta has signed Jonathan Rowe from Bologna, confirming the transfer with his signature "Here we go."

Romano stated that the deal is structured as a loan with an obligation to buy, worth a fixed fee of €35 million plus €5 million in add-ons. Rowe was determined to join only Atalanta, and Mateo Retegui's move to Bologna paved the way for this transfer.
