Gary Neville and Roy Keane commented on Manchester United's defense this season, both agreeing that it has been very concerning.

Neville: "Imagine Maguire and Shaw both out for three months. Imagine the worst-case scenario. Just think about it pessimistically for a minute, and you'll be worried sick. The team has Yoro, Heyden, and then it basically comes down to Mazraoui having to play left-back. With just one or two injuries, things can quickly turn into a mess."

Keane: "Even if these players are healthy and playing, the defense is still a mess." (Laughter from the studio)

"It is indeed a mess. Four goals conceded in two games. So whether you score five goals in a game or the defense is shaky at the start of the season, the old Arsenal or Liverpool would think after the game, 'We won the game, but we still conceded two goals.'

Do today's defenders still have that drive to truly keep a clean sheet? I'm not saying to celebrate a clean sheet wildly, but after the game, back in the locker room, the defenders should be saying, 'Guys, our defense was rock solid today.'"
