Cagliari officially announced that forward Kingstone Mutandwa has joined Swiss club Servette on loan until the end of the 2026/27 season. The deal includes an option to buy and a mandatory purchase clause that will be triggered upon meeting specific sporting conditions.

Cagliari has also extended Mutandwa's contract until June 30, 2030.
Mutandwa was born in 2003 in Chibombo, Zambia, and began his football career at Atletico Lusaka. He made his Serie A debut on March 3, 2024, in Cagliari's 1-0 away victory over Empoli. On May 23 of the same year, he scored his first goal for Cagliari in a home match against Fiorentina.
Last season, Mutandwa was loaned to Austrian club SV Ried, where he made 37 appearances across all competitions, contributing 16 goals and 4 assists in league matches, playoffs, and domestic cup competitions.
After returning to Cagliari from his loan spell, Mutandwa participated in the team's pre-season preparations and featured in the opening match of the 2026/27 Serie A season, an away fixture against Parma, helping the team secure victory.
Mutandwa will now continue his development in the Swiss Super League.
In their official statement, Cagliari sent their best wishes to the Zambian forward: "We wish you all the best for the season, King."
