On September 5th,, early morning (CEST), UEFA officially announced disciplinary sanctions for the Olympique Lyonnais vs. Fenerbahçe match. Guendouzi received a 4-match ban with 2 matches suspended for 1 year, while Greenwood received a 1-match suspension deferred for 1 year.

Charges against Fenerbahçe:

1. Setting off fireworks and other objects, in violation of Article 16, Paragraph 2(c) of the UEFA Disciplinary Regulations;

2. Throwing objects, in violation of Article 16, Paragraph 2(b) of the UEFA Disciplinary Regulations;

3. Spectator disturbance in the stands, in violation of Article 16, Paragraph 2(h) of the UEFA Disciplinary Regulations;

4. Team misconduct, in violation of Article 11, Paragraph 1 and Article 11, Paragraph 2(b) of the UEFA Disciplinary Regulations;

5. Guendouzi violating basic sporting conduct, in violation of Article 11, Paragraph 2(b) of the UEFA Disciplinary Regulations;

6. Guendouzi insulting players and other personnel on the field, in violation of Article 15, Paragraph 1(a)(iv) of the UEFA Disciplinary Regulations;

7. Guendouzi provoking spectators, in violation of Article 15, Paragraph 1(a)(vi) of the UEFA Disciplinary Regulations.

Sanctions:

1. Fenerbahçe fined €30,000 for setting off and throwing fireworks;

2. Fenerbahçe fined €15,000 for spectator disturbance;

3. Fenerbahçe fined €50,000 for team misconduct;

4. Guendouzi: fined €50,000, suspended for 4 matches in UEFA club competitions, with 2 matches suspended for 1 year (these suspended matches will not be enforced if no similar disciplinary offense occurs during the probationary period);

5. Greenwood: fined €30,000, suspended for 1 match in UEFA club competitions, deferred for 1 year.

Charges against Olympique Lyonnais:

1. Setting off fireworks and other objects, in violation of Article 16, Paragraph 2(c) of the UEFA Disciplinary Regulations;

2. Throwing objects, in violation of Article 16, Paragraph 2(b) of the UEFA Disciplinary Regulations;

3. Spectator disturbance in the stands, in violation of Article 16, Paragraph 2(h) of the UEFA Disciplinary Regulations;

4. Team misconduct, in violation of Article 11, Paragraph 1 and Article 11, Paragraph 2(b) of the UEFA Disciplinary Regulations;

5. Goalkeeper coach Antonio Ferreira committing serious assault, in violation of Article 15, Paragraph 1(g) of the UEFA Disciplinary Regulations.

Sanctions:

1. Olympique Lyonnais fined €48,000 for throwing objects;

2. Olympique Lyonnais fined €5,500 for setting off fireworks;

3. Olympique Lyonnais fined €5,000 for spectator disturbance;

4. Olympique Lyonnais fined €50,000 for team misconduct;

5. Goalkeeper coach Antonio Ferreira: banned from the bench for 5 matches in UEFA club competitions, with 2 matches suspended for 1 year.
