According to RMC Sport, Tottenham Hotspur has accumulated only 1 point in their first 3 Premier League matches, with head coach De Zerbi stating that the team cannot be built solely on star names like in the video game "Football Manager."

Tottenham Hotspur currently sits 18th in the Premier League after investing over 366 million euros in transfers this summer. Only Manchester City and Chelsea spent more across Europe, with 526 million euros and 406 million euros respectively. Tottenham spent nearly 200 million euros acquiring Tonali from Newcastle United and Mateo Pjaca from West Ham United. Savinho and Marmoush joined from Manchester City, while Mudryk arrived on loan from Chelsea.

After three Premier League matches, Tottenham Hotspur has only 1 point. The team lost 3-0 to Brentford, 2-0 to Newcastle United, and drew 0-0 away at Nottingham Forest. Sky Sports commented, "This result and performance are not enough to ignite the fans' enthusiasm, nor to make them believe that this season will be much better than last season despite the significant summer spending."
