According to Sky Sport Germany, Borussia Dortmund's young player Karetsas has been discharged from the hospital, but the club remains cautious about his return.

Previously, Het Laatste Nieuws reported that the 18-year-old's circulation problems might be due to dehydration, which his mother, Irena Kizinis, later confirmed. She stated: "It's a huge relief that Kostas has been discharged."

Karetsas collapsed in tears after a counterattack in Borussia Dortmund's 3-2 Champions League victory over Villarreal and was subsequently stretchered off. Irena Kizinis said the club wants to rule out all risks through various examinations.

Ole Puke and Borussia Dortmund coach Nico Kovac had previously ruled Karaçcas out of the squad for the match against Paderborn. Puke stated: "It's clear that we must prioritize the player's health and well-being above all else." It is currently uncertain when Karaçcas will return.
