According to transfer reporter Fabrizio Romano, there is a buy option clause in the contract of Uruguayan defender Ronald Araujo, who is on loan from Barcelona to Liverpool.

Araujo joined Liverpool on loan from Barcelona during the summer transfer window. His playing time has decreased under manager Luis Enrique's tenure.
Previous reports had denied the existence of a buy option in the loan deal, suggesting that Barcelona would decide the player's future after the season concluded.
However, Romano has now clarified that Liverpool does have a buy option worth €55 million to permanently sign Araujo next summer, contradicting earlier reports that claimed no such clause existed.
Romano told CaughtOffside: "Liverpool does have an option to buy Araujo for €55 million."
He also called the transfer one of the most underrated deals of the summer, adding: "Liverpool is very happy to have Araujo on board."
Since arriving on loan, Araujo has quickly established himself as a key player at Liverpool, performing well at both center-back and right-back.
Barcelona is expected to welcome the permanent sale next year, as Araujo's standing under manager Luis Enrique had already diminished before his departure.
