Sevilla coach Luis García appeared at a pre-match press conference on Tuesday to discuss the team's upcoming La Liga away match against Deportivo La Coruña in matchday six, to be held at the Riazor stadium. Sangalli and Rubén Vargas will be absent due to injury, while Fábio Cardoso is unavailable for technical reasons.

Asked about the team's form following their victory over Valencia, Luis García said: "The team is in good shape and highly motivated. We've made a good start, and when things are going positively, confidence is evident. As for our opponents, Deportivo La Coruña are unbeaten so far and playing very well. There are several points worth noting: they are a promoted team, but their financial strength is completely different from typical promoted sides; the club has invested well, and the sports management has done an excellent job; they've brought in experienced players and made some bold decisions; the coach has also done a great job, getting a team promoted, which I greatly respect; and their players are very committed. The other day, Aubameyang was still desperately tracking back in the 94th minute against Getafe—that intensity was remarkable."

Regarding Fábio Cardoso's situation, Luis García stated: "After the transfer window closed, he knew his situation and understood he needed to find a new club. We won't be using him, but he trains like everyone else. We are very frank with him. He's a very good lad, but he knows we won't consider him."

On the topic of pressing from the front and winning possession in the opponent's half, Luis García commented: "This has always been my tactical philosophy—to actively pursue the game and push the defensive line into the opponent's half. Sometimes you can't do it, and that carries risks. If we're among the best teams in this regard, it's because this squad has that character, and we will try to maintain possession in the opponent's half for most of the match."

When asked about Sevilla's physical condition and whether rotation would be necessary at Riazor, Luis García replied: "No problem. We don't need forced rotations. We'll assess things after Wednesday. If someone has an injury risk, he won't play; if the team is in good shape, we'll keep many players on the pitch. If there's even a slight risk, he won't play."

Regarding expectations for Deportivo La Coruña and the key to Sevilla's success at Riazor, Luis García said: "Antonio has coached the team very well in his own style. Whether it's the first team or reserves, the most important thing is understanding how they play—their strengths and weaknesses. I noticed the other day that they constantly adjust their approach depending on how the game unfolds; if the momentum shifts, they make tactical adjustments in attack and defense. They're somewhat similar to us in that regard, with multiple tactical setups. The coach has done an excellent job, and they've assembled a strong squad for the summer."

Discussing Teixeira's situation, Luis García stated: "Teixeira still needs time—at least until after the international break. Unless absolutely necessary, he needs two or three more weeks of training before returning to match action. He requires more preparation."

On areas for improvement among the forwards, Luis García remarked: "By 'clarity,' I mean composure and decisiveness. Sometimes our actions are good, sometimes not, but that doesn't reflect a lack of ability; even Messi misses penalties. We played a very complete match. We might play slightly differently at Riazor, but if our forwards are sharper, we'll win."

Regarding Sevilla's training situation, Luis García commented: "The season's start was unique because the transfer window was still open. We performed very well during those weeks, using many youth players. For me, this team must continue growing and developing chemistry. We still have many gaps to fill. Last season we focused on the fundamentals; this year we've done more tactical training, but progress remains gradual. The most important thing is for everything to click and for us to continuously improve across many areas."

When asked about Nico Guillén's playing time, Luis García said: "Fofana's arrival has reduced his opportunities, along with Guridi, Cocho, and even Lucien Agoume. Nico is very young, and if anyone has shown a willingness to play young players, it's me. He needs to perform the way he did in the last match—he played a very good game, particularly impressive in the second half. It's not just about Nico. If we praise the signing of Fofana, we can't overlook Nico as much; that would be contradictory. As a result, everyone's playing time will decrease."

On defensive solidity's role in team development, Luis García stated: "Every team has its strengths, but we must concede fewer goals and minimize how many we leak. We then analyze the reasons for each goal conceded. Currently, our positioning is actually quite solid."

Asked when Rubén Vargas would return, Luis García replied: "He's already been assessed, and we're optimistic about his situation. Although I can't give you a definitive answer now, the outlook is very positive. The three-week break will allow him to complete a mini pre-season. We expect him to return after the break and be available for matches. That's my belief, though it's not yet officially confirmed."

Regarding Sevilla not receiving a penalty against Valencia, Luis García said: "What we have to accept is that over a long league season, there will always be decisions that favor you and others that go against you. I'm not saying the decision in Bilbao was wrong, but making such a fuss over a single call is unnecessary. We've had two red cards, won one match, and earned points in the other. Decisions can be right or wrong. In the Castellini incident, the referee could have awarded a penalty for the second contact, but we still have to respect the official's decision."

On the large number of fans traveling to Riazor, Luis García commented: "The fans are very excited right now, and we're delighted by their support. We thank everyone who will be there. I can't promise we'll win or draw, but I can guarantee that the team will give everything. Sevilla fans know when their team has given their absolute best. This will also motivate us to continue in the direction we're currently heading."

When asked about Félix Correa's debut performance, Luis García said: "All players need time to adapt; everyone's the same. Isak was actually our best performer in attack, performing at the same level as the others. He wasn't particularly sharp early on, but I liked how he adjusted as the match progressed. I'm satisfied with everyone."
