According to Gazzetta dello Sport, winning the Europa League could help Milan and Juventus narrow the financial gap compared to Champions League participation. The two clubs face a combined funding shortfall of 100 million euros.

Ticket prices alone illustrate the disparity between the two competitions. A ticket in the third-tier blue section at San Siro for a Europa League match against Benfica costs 14 euros. Two years ago, for the same seat in a Champions League match against Liverpool, the ticket price was 59 euros—more than four times higher.

The gap between the Europa League and Champions League is substantial, encompassing not only UEFA prize money but also the broader commercial and matchday revenues generated by each competition.
