Celtic have signed highly-rated Borussia Dortmund right back Jeremy Toljan on loan until the end of the season.

The German U21 international has made 23 appearances for the black and yellow but is looking to gain more first-team experience for the remainder of the campaign in Glasgow.

Speaking to the Celtic's official website, Toljan said: 'This is an exciting move for me and I'm delighted to be joining a club like Celtic, which has a great reputation throughout Europe.

'I'm looking forward to meeting my new team-mates and working with the manager, and I'll be doing everything I can to help the team to be successful in the remainder of this season.

'I can't wait to get started and give all I can for this great, iconic club.'

Toljan spent close to five years with Hoffenheim before joining Dortmund, during which time he went on to make more than 60 appearances for the club.
