On June 27, Senegal defeated Iraq 5-0, securing three points and advancing as group runners-up. However, a Senegalese photographer whose visa was rejected documented the match by photographing the TV in his hotel room to capture FIFA World Cup images.

Senegalese official photographer Sidi Tall had his visa rejected and was unable to travel to Canada to photograph the match against Iraq, so he worked from his hotel room instead.
