According to TuttoMercatoWeb, Roma forward Donyell Malen discussed the Netherlands' FIFA World Cup campaign and his performance at Roma in an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport, stating that the goal is to continue competing for the title.

"We are in good form, played well in the group stage, and the team continues to improve," Malen said. He also acknowledged the challenge of the upcoming opponents: "Morocco is a tough team, but at this stage of the tournament, every opponent is difficult. We will be ready." The former PSV forward also stated that he has adapted to the national team's tactical requirements: "I prefer to play as a center forward, but if the coach needs me on the right, I will fully cooperate. The important thing is to be on the pitch."
Regarding Brobbey's excellent form, Malen said: "I know him well. He is a very good forward and deserves this opportunity." Speaking of Roma, Malen reaffirmed that he has no regrets about his January move: "Communication with Gasperini was crucial. He assured me that I would play a central role in the attack. I am very happy to be here. The club's reception was fantastic, and I integrated into the team quickly." After scoring 14 goals in half a season and helping Roma secure Champions League qualification, the Dutch forward has set his sights higher: "We want to win something with Roma. As for the Dutch team, we came to America to fight for the FIFA World Cup."
